Google Docs is throwing error messages for us here at VentureBeat.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
In the activity section of my personal Google Drive, I saw this error message: “Whoops! Activity had a glitch.”
One of my colleagues sees a different message: “Google Docs encountered an error. Please try reloading this page, or coming back to it in a few minutes.”
Google knows about the problems.
Looks like something's up with Docs – but fear not, we’re on it & you’ll be editing again in no time. Stay tuned here!

Update at 12:04 p.m. Pacific: my VentureBeat Google Docs is loading again, albeit a bit slowly. The activity error message on my personal account hasn’t gone away yet. On both, the Recent and Trash pages are very slow. And good luck composing a new file in Google Docs. Trying to make a new spreadsheet with Google Sheets? You might see this: “Sorry, the file you have requested does not exist.”
We’ll update this post as we learn more about the issues.
